After his ex-girlfriend accused Rick and Morty creator Justin Roiland of domestic violence, the voice actor pleaded not guilty to the charges and completely denied them as his DMs and messages go viral

Also, domestic violence charges are taken very seriously by the industry, so they let him go. In the wake of Roiland’s felony domestic violence charge in Orange County, a couple of screenshots were shared on social media. This made the drama even worse.

In the screenshots, Justin is talking to a 16-year-old girl and telling her to go to “s*x slavery.” He then calls her a “stupid f****t b***h” and ends the message with “just kidding.”

While Justin waits for his trial, his sister Amy Roiland is back in the news for a scandal that happened last year but seems to be fresh in people’s minds. Amy got into a big mess on TikTok when she allegedly asked for a photoshoot without paying for it. This set off all of the drama.

Things got heated when the owner said no to her request. In a very angry voice message, she slammed the owner. Even though the drama happened almost a year ago, the Justin Roiland scandal has brought back all the news about the sister.

Hulu drops Justin Roiland in the domestic abuse case

After it came out that Justin Roiland had been charged with felony domestic abuse, Hulu became the second TV company to cut ties with him. In a statement, 20th TV Animation and Hulu Originals said, “We no longer work with Justin Roiland.”

Roiland co-created and voices the animated show Solar Opposites on the streaming service. He is also a producer and an actor on the animated show Koala Man. Without him, both shows will go on.

On Tuesday, Rick and Morty’s home on Cartoon Network, the Adult Swim division, did the same thing. In a short statement, they said that they were no longer working with Justin Roiland. Also Roiland helped start the video game company Squanch Games, which announced on Twitter late Tuesday that he had quit.

Charges against Justin Roiland

In January 2020, Justin Roiland, who was 42 years old, was charged in Orange County, California, with two counts of felony domestic violence against an ex-girlfriend he was living with at the time. He has said he is innocent and is now waiting to be tried. Roiland’s lawyer and publicist did not answer emails right away asking for comments.

Rick and Morty is about a crazy scientist and his grandson, both of whom were voiced by Justin Roiland. He made the show with Dan Harmon. It has been on for six seasons and has been picked up for a seventh. Adult Swim has said that the show will go on without him, but they haven’t said who will do the voices.
