Following the trend, extensive preparations were made to release Simhadri, a pivotal smash hit in NTR’s career on the occasion of his birthday.

On May 20 the movie made its theatrical re-release worldwide.

Simhadri was highly anticipated by NTR’s fans, who also used outstanding marketing to put the movie on a record number of screens. Simhadri performs admirably in most territories, but it has struggled in a few.

Simhadri collected 5.14 crores gross on day 1 across the world with its re-release and this is the highest day 1 collection for any re-released film so far. The film had run 1012 shows across the world on Tarak’s birthday with Pawan Kalyan’s Kushi next on this list with 4.15 crores day 1 gross. Simhadri will run for a few more days and it is expected that the film will slowly reach the 10 crore mark.

Countless numbers of his devoted admirers who are anxious to see him on the big screen appreciate NTR’s benefit events, which are extremely successful at the box office. Therefore, the supporters were driven to set a new record by a wide margin.

Simhadri was released in 2003 starring Bhumika Chawla and the ‘Young Tiger’. The rest of the star cast included Ankitha, Wukesh Rishi, Nassar and Rahul Dev.

The movie, which was directed by SS Rajamouli, went on to become a huge hit and made NTR one of the top stars in Tollywood. The chart-topping score by Keeravani, the fast-paced, furious narration by Rajamouli, and NTR’s thunderous performance have elevated this movie to a Tollywood action classic.
