TikTok Star Jehane Thomas Dies at 30, Days After Revealing Struggle with Migraines – Kuri007

TikTok star Jehane Thomas passed away suddenly on March 17 at the age of 30. The influencer had a condition called optic neuritis and suffered from crippling migraines for several months.

Thomas documented her struggle with the disease in a number of her TikTok videos. Her most recent video was posted last Wednesday from the hospital, in which she revealed that she was going for surgery.

The news of Thomas’ demise was confirmed by her friends. Just a few days before the tragic event, the TikToker had taken to Instagram to reveal her diagnosis of optic neuritis, a condition which ‘causes swelling of the eye’s optic nerve.’

“I was diagnosed with Optic Neuritis a few months ago after nearly 2 years of being told my migraines were stress related. They then thought I had MS which was ruled out (for now) but now the pressure in my head literally takes me off my feet,” Thomas wrote on March 5.

“I wanna start my thank yous by saying a huge thanks to my mum and dad who are always there to help me with the boys. I hate being wiped off my feet with a migraine or sickness but they will always be the first ones to take the boys for a few hours and I’m so grateful to have you both🤍.”

“This week has been my worst week health wise but has also been our biggest week business wise. We are on the 5th day of the month and have processed just under 60 orders already,” she had added. Thomas is survived by two sons, Isaac,3, and Elijah, 1.

Jehane Posted her Final Video Last Week

Jehane had over 67,000 followers on TikTok. On March 15, she posted her last video, discussing her week-long hospital stay and her upcoming surgery. “I am still waiting to go down for surgery,” she wrote in the caption of the emotional clip.

“The reason they didn’t do it last week was because having fluids in me would solve the issue. I have 4 liters of fluids in me, and my head this morning is horrific. I’m waiting to see if I can take one of my Frovatriptan before surgery because no other pain relief is taking this pressure.”

“Or if I need to ride it out and hope the surgery gives me instant relief. I can’t lift my head up without wanting to be sick and I’m unable to walk, I need to be wheeled everywhere. That’s how bad this pain is,” Thomas continued.

A GoFundMe Campaign has been Set Up to Help the Influencer’s Children

The TikTok star’s friend Alyx Reast has set up a GoFundMe to cover the cost of her funeral and help her children. “Despite suffering from migraines and bouts of illness for several months, her passing was totally unexpected and we are all absolutely heartbroken,” reads the campaign page.

“I’ve started this page in the hope of raising some money so her beautiful boys can have the best childhood, make memories and make sure they are comfortable. Nothing will bring the boys their mum back, but we hope it will bring some relief to her family, knowing how loved and supported they are,” it reads further.
