‘When does the biopic come out?’ Aussie actress’ ‘wild’ resemblance to a young Dolly Parton

She doesn’t look much like the Dolly we know and recognise today – for one thing, her hairstyle isn’t anywhere near tall enough – but Aussie actress Yvonne Strahovski has a striking resemblance to the country icon in her younger days.

From the eye shape to the smile to the dimples, the Handmaid’s Tale star and Parton, pictured here in 1965, could easily be mistaken for twins.

The similarities haven’t gone unnoticed, with posts regularly appearing on social media and online forums commenting on the likeness.

“Young Dolly looks more like Yvonne than Yvonne looks like Yvonne,” one Redditor declares.

“Their resemblance is uncanny! That is WILD,” another person writes.

Some have suggested the similarity be put to use, with one Twitter user asking, “When does the Dolly Parton biopic starring Yvonne Strahovski as young Dolly come out?”
