The mother of the Colorado shooter, Anderson Lee Aldrich, has a history of legal issues, including three California warrants that are still active. Additionally, she was seen on camera insulting a passenger while flying. On Saturday, November 19, the night before Transgender Day of Remembrance, Aldrich committed a mass shooting at a homosexual club in Colorado named Club Q. The incident, which is being looked at as a hate crime, claimed the lives of five people. Check further details in the article below.
Aldrich is currently being held by police. At least two brave spectators tackled the 22-year-old during the assault. In addition to the five fatalities, 25 other people suffered injuries. Aldrich had previously been detained in June 2021 due to a bomb threat, but no formal charges were ever brought against them. Following the shooting, a Frontier Airlines passenger’s cell phone video of Aldrich and Voepel arguing with other travelers on July 31 came to light.
Who Is Laura Voepel?
Maria Martinez of Aurora, who captured the footage, claimed that Aldrich called her a racial epithet derogatory to Hispanics. Martinez started filming Aldrich and Voepel as they got off the plane after calling her that name. What does that make me? According to Fox 31, Martinez is heard stating in the footage. Voepel orders Martinez to “shut up,” to which Martinez replies, “What makes me a b—?” A short while later, Aldrich replies, “You keep following me, I’m going to f- you up.”
Martinez asserted that she and her daughter Kayla recognised Aldrich even though they were concealing their faces at the time as the person currently accused of the Colorado shooting. They were travelling with Martinez’s friend Tanya De La O, who claimed that Voepel was the one who started hurling racial slurs. “I was having trouble lowering my suitcase from the overhead bin when I suddenly heard a woman yell, “Hurry the f— up. You b—–.’
After that, I turned around and apologized. According to De La O, Aldrich was also complicit in the verbal abuse. She claimed that Aldrich had to have picked up the behavior from their mother. Martinez claimed that she tried to voice her concerns to the Frontier Airlines flight crew, but it appeared that they were unwilling to take anything. They advised her to call customer support later as an alternative. When she did, customer service informed her that she would need to submit a written complaint.
