Who is Liverpool assistant manager Pep Lijnders, his age, Liverpool salary and Intensity book

Pepijn “Pep” Lijnders, a Dutch football manager, was born on January 24, 1983, and is currently 39 years old. He works as Liverpool’s assistant manager in the Premier League.

With PSV Eindhoven, Lijnders started his managing career in 2002 by assisting with player development and youth training. He relocated to Porto in 2006, where he assisted in the development of their youth academy by using the Tactical Periodisation concepts on the 611 project while working under the direction of Vtor Frade and Lus Castro.

He served as an assistant to Jesualdo Ferreira, André Villas-Boas, Vtor Pereira, and Paulo Fonseca while he was employed with the club. He relocated to Liverpool in 2014 where he worked as Jürgen Klopp’s First Team trainer and Brendan Rodgers’ assistant coach.

Lijnders accepted the managerial position at NEC in the Dutch Eerste Divisie on January 2, 2018. He agreed to a one and a half year contract. After NEC lost in the promotion play-offs to be promoted to the Eredivisie, Lijnders was fired on May 17, 2018.

On June 5, 2018, he rejoined the Liverpool coaching staff. He was a member of the coaching team that assisted Liverpool in capturing their 19th league championship during the 2019–20 season and their sixth UEFA Champions League victory on June 1, 2019.

Meanwhile, for Liverpool, Matheus Nunes of Wolves will not be allowed to play for Jurgen Klopp’s team until the 2023–24 season, thus the Reds will put an end to their chase for the midfielder.

Before Wolves came in to make the Portuguese ace their club-record signing in a £38million deal, Nunes, 24, was rumoured to be moving to Anfield back in the summer. Liverpool reportedly reignited their interest in Nunes earlier this week and hatched a plan to snag him from Molineux in January, according to rumours that surfaced earlier this week.

While his salary at Liverpool isn’t known, his net worth stands at $1-3 million with him releasing a book called Intensity about Liverpool’s playing style and his time at the club.
