As per media reports, the musician is being sued as a 39-year-old, Shannon “Shay” Ruth, filed a battery lawsuit against the singer on Thursday.

The alleged victim claimed that the member of the vocal group raped her when she was 17 during their band’s Black & Blue concert tour.

Earlier, Ruth took to her Facebook as she livestreamed her allegations while crying she stated that her last 21 years were filled with “pain, confusion, frustration, shame, and self-harm,” before adding that this was all a direct result of “Nick Carter raping me.”

The alleged victim who filed a lawsuit in Nevada further added that “Even though I’m autistic and live with cerebral palsy, I believe that nothing has affected me more or had a more lasting impact on my life than what Nick Carter did and said to me.”

Meanwhile, the 45-year-old singer has denied all these allegations.

An insider close to Nick claimed in a conversation with TMZ, that all of this “accusation is categorically false,”before adding that “Nick is focusing on his family and mourning the death of his brother.”

However, let us remind you, it’s not the first time when the New York native has been accused of sexual misconduct.

Previously, the House of Carter’s star, was accused for sexually assaulting a former member of the teen-pop group, Dream, Melissa Schuman.

Who’s Melissa Schuman?

For those who are unfamiliar with Melissa Schuman, let us tell you, as per her Instagram bio, she is an actress and a wellness entrepreneur.

Melissa Schuman, whose full name is Melissa Amber Schuman, was born in San Clemente, California, U.S. on August 21, 1984. Schuman married dancer Brandon Henschel on June 7, 2006, in San Diego, California with her current net worth at $1 million.

The actress is best known for her role in the platinum hit “He Loves U Not.” Earlier, in 2017, the artist alleged that Nick had sexually assaulted her back in 2003.

As per the claims made by the Love Don’t Cost a Thing star, during the incident, she was shooting for The Hollow, with Nick.

At the time, the 38-year-old actress wrote in a blog post which is no longer active that Nick invited her and a friend to his Santa Monica residence for a “casual hangout.”

Melissa alleged that the musician had poured shots and took her to a bathroom where he performed an oral sex on her despite her rejection.

Let us remind you, Los Angeles County prosecutors refused to file a case against Nick after investigating that her claims were outside of the 10-year statute of limitations.

In an earlier response to the claims made by Schuman, Nick, who was never criminally charged for the allegations stated that, “Melissa never expressed to me while we were together or at any time since that anything we did was not consensual.”
